From the kitchen of Alberta in Warren.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 tsp. Soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. each cloves, ginger and salt
Directions: Combine all ingredients and beat until batter is well blended. Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet 2” apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes about 4 ½ dozen.
